Party like its my Birthday!

So yesterday (April 10th) was my birthday and now I’m no longer a teenager. I don’t feel any different but what i do know is now its one more year to the magic of 21. So for my birthday me and a few of my friends traveled to the wonderful Sonic. Before that however since it was so nice out, during our lunch break we went to Rita’s for some Italian ice and it was amazing. Only my second time being there. My parents sent me a care package that included some delicious homemade cookies and all my tax forms! It also included a few gift cards and fun like that. Today i had to get a few signatures and my transcript for a scholarship that im applying for and then tomorrow i get to mail my taxes, my scholarship, and my application for a internship this summer. All fun for me. Today we had the Rock for Change concert, which benefits the Invisible Children. Im just gonna post this now since while i was writing this my power cut out due to t-storms but luckily my text was saved.

Standard Week

This was a pretty standard week for me. After my very busy weekend last week it was nice to have a slow paced week. Last weeks Boobies Ball helped raise over $2,000 which doubled last years total! It was also a ton of fun and we had over 140 people show up. The I went to the LAmb Conference which was great and then on Sunday i volunteered at the Barack Obama Speech in State College. It was amazing to see and hear him speak, especially since i was like 10 yards away from him. Enough with last weekend. On Tuesday i had an art paper due, but i got an extension to Thursday because i ran out of time due to all the stuff i had to do last weekend. My art teacher was really cool about giving me the extra days too. Me and my friends got to go to the Phillies night opener on Wednesday, too bad they lost 1-0 even though Cole Hamels pitch great. You cant beat free t-shirts and dollar dog night though. This weekend I’m planning on just chilling and watching tv. Then back to the grind on Monday.

Big Weekend

So i got threw this week pretty easily without any major hiccups. Now it’s the weekend. This is an important weekend because tonight is the Boobies Ball. The Boobies Ball is a dance run by the Lion Ambassadors to help raise money for Breast Cancer awareness and is our biggest event of the year. Also, tomorrow is the annual Lion Ambassador and Blue & White Society conference in State College so a bunch of us are traveling up there. Then, to culminate the the weekend, I am going to see Barack Obama speak on the Old Main Lawn in State College which will be awesome.

The Week of Elections

So this week went by pretty quick and uneventful. I thought it was going to take for ever but it didn’t. Well i guess it wasn’t uneventful because this week was full of elections. First on Tuesday was elections for Lion Ambassadors were I was elected President, which is pretty cool. That will be a lot of work. Then on Thursday were two more, one for Blue & White Society where my good friend Amanda won President; and SGA elections. So i guess this week was pretty important because it sets up most of next year. Thankfully the weekend has arrived and i can relax. Relaxing so far has consisted of going to see Drillbit Taylor, which was real good, then watching Rounders last night. Today I got suckered into going to the mall with my friends and we are about to go see Shutter and then go bowling, all of which cost money which i dont have. Oh well, welcome to college life.

Got back from North Carolina today unfortunately… It was a lot of fun but now we have to get back to work. I got Accepted officially into the SDCET program over break which is good. The only bad thing about break was that i had a little run in with the NC Highway patrol for going a little too fast. Oh well back to the grind Monday…

Spring Break

So Today is the first day of break and me and 7 of my friends are all traveling down to North Carolina. Should be a lot of fun. This past week was a little tough with 3 midterms but looking forward to break helped me get through it. Just the thought of a week without any classes makes me happy. The bad thing is the week is gonna be over way too quick and its back to 8:30am Physics. Just how i want to start classes again.
